I'm updating this more than I thought I would.. how neat is that... recent polls indicate, very. I sent my resignation email yesterday, here it is: Dear fellow employees, I want to first say how much of a pleasure it has been working with all of you. I have grown in so many aspects at LACOE, and each and every one of you has played an integral part, of which I will not be soon forgetting.
I have been contacted by another company and they have offered a great opportunity for me. This will be another step in my life toward my long-tem goals, a step in my life that is just as important as this has been. I have submitted my resignation paper last week; making Tuesday, May 18th, my last day here at LACOE. I want everyone to know that I will still be available by email at: simmons_andrew@hotmail.com
Thank you all for the knowledge, friendship, and memories.Among others, I got the following back: I've got to tell you that you will be sorely missed and unreplaceable. Not just because of your talents, but because of who you are. You brought an air of freshness and fun to LACOE that I know all of us needed and appreciated. Your skills were just the icing on the cake. I wish you good fortune in your new endeavor and your life. Who knows, maybe we'll do some more work in the future. All of the responses made me fell appriciated, it's too bad it took a move like this to feel that. Oh, I have some pictures available! Enjoi, you all, and please feel free to post, I love reading them. Current Music: (KCRW Music)

Oh.. I still have this.. Last night, I had a dream. I'm not going to type it out, just wanted to mention I had one. I typically don't like to read people's dreams, they drag. Today is Saturday! I freaking love the weekend. Weekends are only as good as the weekdays are bad. I woke up around 8, yeah, in the morning. Jay woke me up, it's okay, we took his car to get fixed. Him and I are going to go swimming, on another photo journey, then paintballing. I've been meaning to put more pictures on here.. but the way the economy is, you're lucky you got the internet. Oh, about the job, my work took it well... Jay needs to use his computer now.. geez.. get off my dick already, jerky.. DON'T TOUch MNEE!! ! awhwh1h!H!! That's my eye3ee.. yOIU IDIOT! 1jnj aS fnejkhf dfejh </post>

So, today is the day I hand in my resignation letter to LA County. It's well thought out, and final. I was reading about "counter offers" today. This is when you want to leave, but your employer gives you a raise or something to make you stay. I'm wondering if this will happen to me. Probably not, I don't think they can afford to keep me. It's not just about the money, it's about my lifestyle. I am told that my new job will be very high work load, I am facing this as a challenge, and I will use heavy, strong, dilligent force appropriately. To be honest, I'm hesitating a bit. Heh, this is so classic, today a new client came in and wants to start this entire deal. It sounds like the best project we've ever got, it uses the newest technology, it involves the police force and security with schools. *sigh* My boss is all worked up about it, and to be honest, I am doing my best not to. I had given him some precursors to my leave, but he speaks about this project as if I'm going to be leading it. Perhaps he knows more than I assume. I never liked reading pages, and pages of text, so I'll end this soon. When I feel guilt and uncertianty about leaving, I remember that I have worked hard here for 3.6 years, with no benefits and no bonuses. After 90 days at my new job I am promised those things, along with a significant pay increase. My new employer says that the previous programmers were fired from lack of skills. I am confident that I have the skills, but the risk is there.. you know.. I'll grab my laptop and post some pictures from my little excursion, they're really cute, you'll love 'em. another thing with a clock: digital tempature thing more things without clocks: my deep fryer, most stickers (idea?), and my thumb. Send some comment for additions to these lists, please. Tah tah for now (oh.. I hate that phrase)

Today was very, well, bittersweet. My sister lit some candles in her room last night, and reportedly melted most of her room down. She's okay, just has some burns on her hands and feet. I'll post pictures as soon as I am dispatched over there! :) Oh, I couple more things that have clocks, unnecessarily: my camera, my caller id, my portable phones, and my walkie talkies (what a stupid name for a device). Things that don't have a clock: my paintball gun, most of the food I prepare, and some types of socks. Well, I got the job today. I went in there with my shoulders back and my chest out.. as I ran into the door. It was funny, talk about being labeled incompetent prematurely. I'm supposed to be handling 3 million web hits a day, and I can't open a fudging door. With that, I got the day off today! How cool is that? Don't answer.. I won't hear you. If you wish to respond, please post a comment, I check them, and they're cute. Right now I'm looking for a flower park to go take some more pictures.. flowers have such natural beauty, they even die elegantly. They feel the same wind, water, and sky we do, yet they have no competition, no fights, just life and the display of natural beauty. The flower is a perfect example that it's not society that makes us who we are, it's our perspective and reaction of it. The flowers are surrounded with the motorists, the television shows, and rap music, but they simply don't let it become them.

I took.. Current Mood: cheerful
04:16 pm: My first one..
Well, everyone else has one, and I wanted to be cool. Looking for a new job, that's neat. Dealing with adult entertainment, that's well, conflicting.. Everyone else has such poetic things, like lyrics to songs, or a plastic bag floating in the wind. I'll have that kind of stuff soon enough. *sigh* I'll tell you what it's really about. I set my alarm clock 7 minutes fast, and my car clock 12 minutes off. My watch is slow, and my stove, microwave, cablebox, wall clock (analog/digital), computer, PDA, and cell phone all have different times. I changed them all at one point so I wouldn't be late. Now, I'm just confused... More later.
